On Friday, February 1, 2019, thousands of dentists and volunteers gave their time to provide free oral health education, screenings, and treatment to underserved children across the United States, through ‘Give Kids A Smile Day.’
Give Kids A Smile is the ADA Foundation’s signature access to oral health care program for underserved children, with events taking place throughout the year. These events kick off annually on the first Friday in February. This year, there were over 1,500 events, 6,485 dentists alongside 58,420 volunteers who served close to 350, 000 kids across the United States.
KiDz HuB was LIVE on location at KidZdent in Old Bridge New Jersey to cover all the activities, speak with staff, volunteers and some of the families at 'Give Kids A Smile.
We encourage you to also become part of the GKAS movement and join KiDz HuB in supporting this worthy cause. We were honored to amplify this mission, by producing the KiDz HuB Coverage of this year's event LIVE on location from KidZDent, "the Disney of dentistries" in Old Bridge New Jersey.
Through the ADA Foundation's Give Kids A Smile program, launched nationally by the American Dental Association in 2003, more than 5.5 million underserved children have received free oral health services. These free services are provided by volunteers including approximately 10,000 dentists annually, along with 30,000 other dental team members.
